ReplyDeleteI like the books that you picked for this blog post! Some of the books that you've listed, I've seen them in some of the upper elementary classrooms. These are great readers workshop books for students.
There are many hear that I have not read and I like that. Everyone's lists have had many that I have not read. It really does give a good list to use for when we teach.

ReplyDeleteVery interesting list. I really need to read the Color Purple to see the dialect is written out and also to see how it differs from the movie. When we read books as a class, I always liked the books that were about people who are from different cultures or backgrounds. I definitely will be checking out A Girl Named Disaster.
